Slackware Linux 9.1 does not start...at all!

I would describe my Linux usage as pre-newbie, I've followed the installation instructions, recommendations, guides and anything remotely related to GRUB...

This is my first attempt at installing/using Linux and I'm lost. All that I get is GRUB and it freezes at that point.

What I do know is that the boot partition is within the 1024 cylinder boundary of the BIOS.

Please release me from my ignorance.

Regards Chris.

Well if this is your first install and your using Slackware, it doesn't come with grub, only lilo for the boot loader. Did you have an existing Linux install prior to this one? If so, did you install lilo to the MBR or elsewhere during the install?
