Skype direct Callto from bash script or from chromium?

I have tried from a bash script:

pkill skype
sleep 1s
skype "callto://echo123"
but this does not call anyone.

maybe other techniques may be applied?=

    <a href="skype:echo123?call">Click</a> (make a call to echo123)
It will work provided the visitor have Skype installed.
up vote 7 down vote You can find all the options and an alternative javascript to redirect the user to download skype is he/she does not have Skype installed.
