Single Click Mouse Question

My distro du jour in mintlinux and Im using the xfce wm.I found the single click mouse option in a folders edit/pref/behavior but this only enables the option within that particular folder.

How do I apply this setting to all folders,the desktop in particular?

I don't think that's been implemented yet for the desktop. You can enable single click for Thunar though, Edit > Preferences > Behavior.
