Simple question about mount command

Hi
I am new in Linux area.
I have a single hard disk with a primary partition and extended partition.
In the primary partition: Window ME.
In the extended partition: RedHat 7.3 in a logical partition and Fat32 in another logical partition.

My question is: To mount the partition vfat(Windows ME or logical partition fat32) in Linux, Do I need to make room of the same size in Linux partition?.

I hesitate to mount vfat partition because either one (Windows ME or logical fat 32) is larger then my Linux partition.

Any comment will be accepted.

No you don't need to make room on the linux partition unless you try to copy the contents of one to the other. Simply mounting it will just give you an access point to the data stored on the other partition.

Thanks Jeremiah

After I mount the windows partition I could download rpms with windows and then copy them to Linux.
I have to do this because I can't connect to internet through Linux because I have a winmodem.
