Shutdown reasons

Hi All,

I am encountering a problem with my system...as it goes to a state from where it stops responding. I am using Fedora Core3.

Can anyone tell me what to do? And also tell me which file is used by linux to store the last shutdown reasons?

Thanks,
Asif Qaiyum

Hi,

Most system messages are in /var/log/messages. This file gives a lot of what has happened during system shutdown and startup. You might be able to see the last thing that happened here.
