Shutdown Problem

I am running Fedora Core 1 and whenever I go to shut down, it goes all normal, it logs out, then a bunch of words run down the side, but then it does soemthing wierd and says "Bad EIP Value" and wont go anyfarther. PLease help

Usually this error is indicative of bad hardware, esp. ram. Check your CAS settings in bios, slowing them down might help (from 2 to 3).

Do a Google search (the above info is from Google) on the eip error, there are lots of threads about it
