Unhappy Shell Script access API

I want to ask, can the shell script do the request to the API? for example: I need pass a https request to remote server which is the servlet! Can it do something like this?

I don't think so. Shell scripts can only use system commands, so if you can string together some commands that do what you want then good, but I think you will need to choose a language that has libraries for scripting https transactions such as perl, python or c.
