Setup internal RSS server - is this possible? How?

Hi all,

Was doing a little thinking about my network, and this popped in - is there RSS server software out there for linux? I don't know much about RSS feeds, but what I would like to do is have a "news ticker" on client desktops, with news about daily events etc.

Any help greatly appreciated,
Rob

As far as I know RSS feeds are, maybe aside from a mimetype supplied, plain text with tags, and what makes it RSS is how the client interpretates and renders it. Any minimal webserver should do. Thy for instance.

Thanks for the reply - I'm not really a web person, anybody have any idea on how to set this up?

Thanks,
Rob
