Angry setting path variable


i have installed jdk on redhat 9.0 linux.

its under the directory /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.0_01/bin

still i am a not able to run java programs.

how do i set PATH variables

i tried export PATH=$PATh: .......
still not working

you may have exported it wrong....write echo $PATH on the c.l and check if it is there
