Setting mouse acceleration threshold

I just got myself a new optical mouse. However, KDE's mouse acclereation threshold is causing problems with it. It is really jumpy, untill pass the threashold. Or I set the acceleration to 1x.

Basically I want to know how to set the threashold to 0px. KDE's Control Center won't let me do this. Is there a text file that I can edit, or something?

Thanks,
Dravis.

(Mandrake 9.1, KDE 3.1.3, XFree86 4.?).

Try looking at man xset.
From the xset man page:
To set mouse acceleration and threshold:
(xset) m [acc_mult[/acc_div] [thr]] m default
