Server Hangs out


I need help urgent!!!!!!!!
One of my servers (Kernel 2.2.14-5.0) hangs out and has to be rebooted manually every time and i am unable to find the kernel logs.
can someone plz tell me where exactly the logs are??? its a redhat 6.2 distro. once i find the logs, the problem can be found out!!!!

further my sendmail is sending mail from the site but it seems it fails to receive incomming mails from any domain. what can be the problem???

kernel log should be in /var/log/
