sendmail relay to office365?

I had 2 email servers. one exchange and one sendmail.

All of the alert emails were setup on sendmail with aliases setup to forward all emails to my exchange. On a daily bases i have 100+ alert emails forwarding to exchange.

Now that exchange is online on 365. All alerts from sendmail are still being forwarded to exchange, but its the old on-prem exchange box and nothing is coming through to office365.

I suspect its either the old A record in DNS which still points mail.companyname to the old exchange box OR i have to input a realy to forward these emails from sendmail to office365.

Can someone please assist.

Not sure what anyone here can do, honestly. If your Linux based sendmail servers are working, and things *WERE* going fine, and you changed to Office365 Online and it's NOT working, that to me would point to a problem there; I'd contact your O365 support.

If it's any consolation, it seems they have problems in general with such 'automated' messages, as I'm dealing with a client right now with the exact same issue. Mail is getting routed through their server, and is LEAVING, but we're getting a errors in the O365 server receiving them. If we sent to Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc., it all works...just not O365.
