Every time I turn on my computer, It stops for 4 minutes at:

Is there a way I can disable sendmail? I'm not on a network (I can't get that working either).

your problem will probably be because you've changed the name of your system at some point, and sendmail doesn't now this, you should edit /etc/mail/access ( I think ) and then it shouldn't happen. you can remove if you want, but sendmail is used for sending maill out if you use it.... you can remove the whole thing, or just delete the symlink under /etc/rcX.d/ usually S80sendmail
