sending smtp mail
 

I would like to write a script or send the output of a cronjob via smtp mail but I do not want to install a relay mta. Is there any way to call the sendmail executable everytime I need to send mail (considering its properly configured with SMART_HOST) instead of starting the sendmail daemon?
