Question Sending [shift]+[F1] key combinations to telnet Application

Hi All

Been struggling with this one for a while and I don't seam to be getting anywhere.
My company uses a call logging application which I Telnet into from a terminal/konsole.

The App (what I telnet to) makes use of certain key combinations like [shift]+[F1], [shift]+[F4] and so forth.
Hitting these keys result in nothing happening and thus I can't do everything that is required.

Any advice on how to make this work would be great.

Linux: Debian 8 (Jessie)
Desktop: KDE

I got the code for Shift-F1 (1b 5b 31 3b 32 50) and Enter (0a) as follows:

Code:
$ cat - |hexdump
^[[1;2P
0000000 5b1b 3b31 5032 000a
From an ASCII table this is the 6 characters: Esc [ 1 ; 2 P

The value might depend on other things like terminal settings, though.

In Case some one else has this issue - I finally figured it oout.
The telnet APP I was connecting to is a greenscreen helpdesk/call-loging application hosted by and IBM AS400. This uses an older terminal/telnet emulation called TN5250 -- I was able to get the TN5250 source from sourceforge (simple google for tn5250 source), some tweaking and I could configure and make it (had to configure with option "./configure --without-ssl").
launching with sudo tn5250 connects and the corresponding shift+function key shortcut works without a glitch.
