Searching for a Ubuntu-desktop-like webtemplate/layout
In Short:
I'm searching for a webtemplate/layout, that looks like the Ubuntu Gnome Desktop. It's for my new website, www.CyborgZone.nl that comes online in May 2009...
Why do i search for this kind of template?
My website is my main office of my non-profit company. The customer's have to get a strong "connected" feeling...
ehm... it has to give the feeling that they're already on the Operating system, before they are going to try and use it.
It was just a thought.
Can anybody help me out with this??
Friendly greetings,
E. de Zeeuw aka Cyborg aka Lan-Dominator.nl

Well, I found this page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Templates
It looks like there are several templates for Drupal, phpBB, and others that you could adapt.

Any competent designer can tell you why trying to mimic an OS on a web site is probably not a good idea. Some of your visitors might get confused as to what they’re seeing. Others might click away before they understand what your site’s about. It’s your site so do as you please but if you don’t put your visitors welfare first you’re likely not to have any.
The internet is OS neutral so creating a 100% Linux compatible web site isn’t an issue. Browser compatibility however is a more important issue. I recommend you view your site with more than one browser. For maximum compatibility you should consider following the recommendations of the W3C. They establish standards for the world wide web.
Since I only read English I am unable to understand all of the text on your web page. This may or may not be an issue for your clientele.
