SCSI disk error with Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2 moterboard and IT8212 chipset
Hi All,
I have noticed the following message occuring in my /var/log/messages. Does anyone know what it may mean.
Sep 19 10:12:36 sclx1 kernel: IT8212Interrupt: error!
Sep 19 10:12:36 sclx1 kernel: MapError: error register is 84
Sep 19 10:12:36 sclx1 kernel: IDE: command abort
Sep 19 10:12:36 sclx1 kernel: SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 1 lun 0 return code = 8000000
Sep 19 10:12:36 sclx1 kernel: Info fld=0x0, Current sd08:12: sense key Aborted Command
Sep 19 10:12:36 sclx1 kernel: I/O error: dev 08:12, sector 212868408
I am using Redhat 9.0 with a gigabyte 7N400 Pro 2 motheroard. Four disks are configured as two RAID 1 devices in the bios.
Is one of the disks failing as the sytem does freeze occassionaly? If this is the case how do I decide which one of the four is failing? They are on a rack so it is quite esay to remove one and replace but obviously I only want to replace the failing drive.
Thanks in advance for all your help
Ben
