Screenshot of DVD output

Ok, sorry if this has been asked previously, but I couldn't find it through a search.

I would like to take a schreenshot that captures the output from a dvd. I have tried the screenshot in gnome, and also using printscr (which I think is just the gnome capture program anyhow). With XINE playing a dvd the .png shows the dvd playing rather than a static screenshot. Anyone know how to do a screenshot that captures static output from the DVD player.

Well, I kept playing and figured it out. I had to change the video output from Xv to XShm. Now I can take screenshots at will.

png output direct from file, no screenshots needed...

Tried mplayer. Couldn't get it to complile. Anyhow, I want desktop screen shots that include the dvd player. Xine does png direct from file as well.
