Screen Movie Makers/Recorders

Hi, can anybody recommend or point me to native screen movie makers/recorders for linux? In Windows I use Lotus Screen Cam which is great for reporting bugs to developers on how to replicate, and wish to do the same in Linux.

I am not sure if we are thinking the same thing or not, but I am assuming you are talking about video editing software.

Unfortunately, the digital movie software available for Linux is very expensive, as in $500 or more. Maya is one of the big ones, among a few. I am actively looking for that same kind of software, and I will update this post once I find some more info.

Thanks Shadowhacker and Microchip but i'm after something that just records everything I do on the screen. Say for example I want to show somebody how to add their DNS numbers using the gui. I turn on the recorder and go through the process of adding the DNS number whilst the recorder records everything I did on the screen as a movie. I then save it, compress it and email it to them, so all they have to do is play it back and follow what I did.
