Screen Mackin' Big and Off Screen With Slackware.
I have an Nvidia TNT2 card in an old AMD 650 and I loaded Slackware Linux on it. When I first installed it, I tried to run X and it gave me an error about "no screens found" or something. So I ran x86config or something like that and configured my monitor, but when I got to the graphics card part, Nvidia TNT2 was not listed, so I had to choose a "Generic" driver.
Now, X loads, but the screen is bigger than the monitor, I have to use my mouse to look at different parts of the screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? Can I download the drivers from Nvidia? But would it show up in x86config? Thanks! |
I have the same card. Just go to the nVidia website and download the Linux drivers. You will need to have your kernel sources.
