AND DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TU CAPTURE A SEQUENCE OF SCREENS LIKE A "VIDEO" IN LINUX?

actually i just ,don't want to capture the screen only,also i want to read the screen in a text file.
Basically i want to read a linux-cobol screen to get a particular field in a text file.
How can i do that in RH linux ?
Plz Let me know.
