save a file on a floppy help

If i want to put my firewall script onto a floppy for a backup would this command work?

dd if=firewall.script of=/dev/fd0

Someone tell me that the right way to do it.But my other aim tell me to do it a differnt way.

dd command should work or if the floppy is formatted and mounted you can just copy the file or script to it with the cp command.

I suggest you use the following sequence:

mount the floppy
cp firewall.script to the floppy
umount the floppy

This the other way i was told.

cp /sbin/iptables /mnt/fd0/iptables
