sambas logging

is there a way to change samba so it only reports bad things and not good?

the reason why i ask this is cos i have a lot of people using samba and every time they access something syslogd is sent yet another line to put into the syslog and its filling up pretty fast!

and is it possible to change syslog/cron to filter out certain lines ?

the reason i ask this is because on the mandrake box every minute a security check is run and this is filling up the syslog as well

thanks
