Samba - Nautilus & Gnome-commander issues

Hi all.

I have a Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 that exports Samba shares. I mount these shares on my Linux workstation as /mnt/zaurus/cf and /mnt/zaurus/home. These shares get mounted with ownership for myself, and I can happily copy, delete and move files on these shares when using the command line. However, under Nautilus and gnome-commander, I am can view and delete files, but I can not copy new files to the Samba shares!

Nautilus produces "Not enough space on target" messages when I try. I am using Nautilus pointed at /mnt/zaurus/cf (not using smb://user:Passwd@zaurus/cf, although I tried that also).

Now, I notice that if I add one of these Samba shares to my GKrellM filesystem monitor panel, it is unable to determine the amount of space used, so this apprears to be the issue.

What am I doing wrong?

/I wish I could use nfs with the Zaurus....

BTW, the reason I use Samba shares, is the inbuilt ftp of the Zaurus is borked and does not handle large files well, it also uses port 4242 with no root password!

Ok, I found the cause. gnome-vfs > 0.99 fixes this known problem.
