rxvt prints ~ on home/end keypress

Hi. I've just installed Slackware 10.0 and have been using rxvt as my terminal. To get to the beginning and end of lines when typing, I usually use the Home and End keys, respectively. In this new system when I press those keys, a tilde (~) is printed rather than taking me to the point in the line. Any idea why this could be? Is there a file in /etc that I need to modify?

Thanks.

It's a matter of key-mappings ... xterm for instance
will work as you expect it, in rxvt you can either
try to modify the key-bindings (can be tedious) or
start using emacs style (ctrl-a = home, ctrl-e = end).

Cheers,
Tink
