Running damn small linux...?

Alright, so I have downloaded the standard ISO for damn small linux. Now I am going to burn the ISO onto a CD.

Do I simply insert the CD and boot from it...then I will be running DSL on my computer?

***NOTE: My laptop hard drive is dead...but I do have a 80GB external USB drive. Will the standard booting from CD method work, or do I need to somehow boot from my USB drive?***

I you can boot from a cd yes that is exactly how it works.

You can run dsl from cd with no problems.

DSL can also be installed to a hard drive if you want but it will work fine from cd. it's actually very flexible so if you like what you see from the cd read up on the different ways of using it. I like the frugal hd install myself. As you can see I'm a big fan of damnsmall.
