RPM issues

i tried to install wine and it seems like it didn't work, i think i might have had a corrupted file or something so i want to remove the rpm, when i try to remove it it tells me that it is not installed... when i try to install it again it tells me it is already installed. whats the deal with that?

What's the exact command that you're using to delete the package?

let me take a stab in the dark....

rpm -Uvh (or -iv or something....) blahblahblah-i686.rpm
--> package is already installed

rpm -e blahblahblah-i686.rpm
-->Packe is not installed

in this instance blahblahblah is the PACKAGE name. whole blahblahblah-i686.rpm is the FILE name. these things matter:

rpm -e blahblahblah
