rpm install problem...

has anyone run into this problem? I'm trying to install the gnome-libs rpm and it has some dependencies that it needs to be installed first, so i've been installing them but I run into this issue where one of the dependencies require gtk but the gtk requires gdk which requires gtk.

[root@unanet-prod04 RPMS]# rpm -Uvh gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
gtk+ >= 1:1.2.5 is needed by gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.1.i386
imlib is needed by gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.1.i386
libgdk-1.2.so.0 is needed by gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.1.i386
libgdk_imlib.so.1 is needed by gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.1.i386
libgtk-1.2.so.0 is needed by gnome-libs-1.4.1.2.90-44.1.i386
Suggested resolutions:
gtk+-1.2.10-33.i386.rpm
imlib-1.9.13-23.i386.rpm
[root@unanet-prod04 RPMS]# rpm -Uvh imlib-1.9.13-23.i386.rpm

libgtk-1.2.so.0 is needed by imlib-1.9.13-23.i386

[root@unanet-prod04 RPMS]# rpm -iv gtk+-1.2.10-33.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
gdk-pixbuf >= 0.18.0 is needed by gtk+-1.2.10-33.i386
Suggested resolutions:
gdk-pixbuf-0.22.0-15.1.i386.rpm
[root@unanet-prod04 RPMS]# rpm -iv gdk-pixbuf-0.22.0-15.1.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:

Suggested resolutions:
gtk+-1.2.10-33.i386.rpm
[root@unanet-prod04 RPMS]#

heres what i'm inputing just incase you think i'm inputting the wrong files...

FYI, if you think I should install gdk-pixbuf >= 0.18.0 and not version 0.22.0 like it appears here, I have downloaded it already and tried that... it still repeats the same thing as 0.22.0 says it needs gtk+-1.2.10-33.i386.rpm

Thanks for any help on this issue...

Install all the packages at one time........

Place all the rpm packages in one common location where they are the only rpm packages and type:

rpm -Uvh *.rpm

Yes, you are experiencing dependency issues. What Linux distribution are you using? You can install most packages using the package manager provided by you distribution and they usually automatically resolve dependencies.
