rPath remaster

I am somewhat confused by the instructions/directions on the rPath site for creating a distro. My problem is, is it remastering an iso for the whole OS, or just packages? I.e. is it creating the operating system iso, or the software for it?

See page here.

Looks like you can choose what you want out of all the available applications to build your rPath distro - more or less the same as with Debian or Slackware, they've just worded it differently.

No, but it's the same idea, done online rather than from CDs or DVDs. Let's you tailor-make your distro. Gentoo's something like that, isn't it? A base install from CD then choose the rest to download and install, like Debian netinstall?
I'll have another look at the rPath site.
It's a bit gimmicky that site - all that "cooking", etc, stuff. Not at all clear about what it involves.
