ripping CD's in Windows compatible format how-to

I've been using Sound Juicer to put my CD collection on my PC (Ubuntu Breezy). The tracks are saved as .ogg files, when i tried e-mailing a track to a friend they couldn't play it because of the file format.

Can I rip using a format compatible with Windows players?

Thanks in advance.

WinAMP >=3.0 can play OGG, so tell your friends to install ogg codecs for Windows, since OGG is better than MP3 (the record of the same quality weigths less in OGG than in MP3).
Google for "ogg windows" for more info.
