RHEL3 NIS client not updating with user's new UID
I have several Linux clients (but not all) that still show a users old UID. The UID was changed in NIS (Solaris) over a week ago. Is there any way to get these clients to update without rebooting? Users cannot login in directly to these systems or this wouldn't be a problem. Users submit batch jobs thru LSF, which then submits the job for them. This is where the problem comes in - any data created as this user comes in with the wrong UID.
