Is getting RHCE certification worth it?

I have saw that in various it magzines etc.. they tell that it is one of the top 10 IT certification

I bought a study guide for the test that was originally $60, but on sale for $13 at Barnes and Noble. I haven't read it yet though. It looks pretty complete. I'm a Software Engineer, I'd like to get the certification just to be more qualified.
