I'm trying to do a fresh install of RedHat 8.0 on an almost new Dell machine. I insert CD #1 and reboot and the machine reboots to the first screen of the installer. I then hit <Enter> to kick the install of in graphical mode. I'm then presented with 'CD Found' screen which offers me the option of testing the CD media or skipping that step. This is all as should be except that the machine/installer won't accept any more input from the keyboard or mouse. I thought the problem might be related to the fact that I'm using a Logtech wireless keyboard but I swapped it out for an older one but the install still behaved the same. I have absolutely no idea where to go from here; I'm dead in the water. Does anyone have any suggestions? For what it's worth I was able to install RH 7.3 on this machine without any problem. Also I should mention that I've used these 8.0 disks to install on another machine without any problems. Thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone may have.
I really don't have any solutions, but maybe you can catch a glimpse of why it wont work by trying text or expert install mode. Then as long as you have the keyboard working, try switching between CTRL+ALT+F1, F2, F3 and F4 to see error messages.
