RH 6.0 on generic i686 no serial or parallel ports work, HELP!!!

using Redhat 6.0 on generic i686 box HELP!!!

first thing to do is UPGRADE! Go get 7.2. That will probably solve your problems. If you can't do that then check your PC's BIOS and make sure the ports are enabled and don't have conflicting IRQ's or I/O addresses.
