Angry Restricted Shell in RedHat 6.2

Hi all,

We have a group of RedHat Server, which contains version 6.2 and 7.2. In RedHat 7.2, I can add some user who can just use restricted bash shell with setting "/bin/bash -r" in his/her ".bash_profile" file. Then I could copy some command files, such as "ping", to his/her home directory so that he/her can use these commands.
But in RedHat 6.2, I couldn't find "-r" parameter in bash. Would you please help me to get a Restricted Shell in Redhat 6.2?
Any help will be appreciated.

You could always upgrade bash to the version on 7.2 or even a later one. It could be a feature that wasn't included on 6.2 when it came out.

Check your versions then check also the man pages for more details.
