Resizing a swap file


I haven't tried it but i was wondering if it is possible for partition magic can resize a linux swap file without causing errors on startup

it should be fine but i wouldnt use partition magic...it tends to mess partitions up especially when dealing with something other than vfat

If you are going to just be resizing linux partitions, no need to be forkin over cash for something like PM, use a linux program, something called parted. Parted allow resizing of linux partitions, and works great. Better than that, it's free!

A swap file and a swap partition are two different things. Changing the size of a swap file should be as easy as deleting the old one, and making a newer one in it's place.

Changing a swap partition will require using a tool like partd or partition magic (use partd...)
