Reporting kernel bugs
 

Hello -
I have a home PC which will only run RH9.
I tried to install FC5 and Centos 4.3 and both would not boot.

I ran into a lot of issues with udev and tried all the recommended fixes but none worked.

Should I report this as a bug in 2.6 kernel? How?

My HW is Sempron 2800, TUL Mboard with ATI chipset.

I wouldn't think of a kernel-bug to begin with; you may be missing
certain parameters. What you could try is to install a new kernel
on the RH9 install, and see what happens if you use your old (original)
config, and do a make oldconfig with that.
