repartitioning problems

Good afternoon everyone,

I just got done repartitioning my other hard drive in an attempt to move from a dual boot system to a vmware setup, but forgot to mess with the bootloader before erasing my linux partition and reformatting/merging it with my NTFS system, Now I am stuck with grub loading at startup to a prompt with limited commands and seemingly no way to boot into XP. Any suggestions on how to use this grub command line to boot to XP and/or remove it from starting up? Thanks!

I suggest you look around for other threads before asking this. (there are way too much threads about not being able to boot to Windows)
But besides that, if you have a bootfloppy/cd, then when you turn on the computer, go to the BIOS Setup (usually by hitting Del or F10, depending on what the screen says at startup), then go to the tab Boot, in there, you can find Boot Priority (or Priorities), there you can choose to give the floppy/cd-rom higher priority than the harddisc, after that, go back to the main menu and choose Exit & Save Changes, the computer will reboot, and if the bootfloppy/cd is in the drive, it will boot off that, instead of loading GRUB.

Hope this helps.
