Hello all and happy non-denominated holidays
I have read several posts about completely removing different distos from a dual boot machine. I have FC2/WinXp and would like to leave this machine without a trace of the linux install. I have recently put FC on another machine (no, I haven't given up on Linux).
I have read that just by: right click on My Computer --> Manage --> Disk management --> and reformat the linux partition through there. Then reboot in Win and do fixmbr in DOS.
I have also read that one can boot into Linux with the install CDs and choose to remove the partition and CTL+ALT+DEL and the partition will be gone. Now Linux is certainly a wonderful experience, but I am skeptical. This all seems way too easy.
If anyone has experience with this, please post a message. I want NO TRACE of Linux left with the space allotted back to Win.
I appreciate any help, thank you.
