Removing tar.gz files

I'm not sure how many of you guys may have stumbled across this problem but I noticed I can remove Bitch tar.gz from my system after installing it. Below is the error i received after trying to uninstall it use the make uninstall command

make: *** No rule to make target `uninstall'. Stop.

Does anyone know of other ways of uninstalling tar.gz files?

If this is Slack and it's a Slack package use pkgtool.

If you installed from source could be tricky.
Safe method would be to use find to find files/Directories Bitch installed and then remove them.

I almost forgot when ever you install from source use --prefix=

In you case ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/bitchx

That way every thing is put under that directory, and it is easy to remove or what ever.

One other thought if you're installing a binary non-slack *tgz unpack it in a temp dir. and match up diriecties and
file with main install i.e.

/tmp/usr/local/bin/bitch = rm /usr/local/bin/bitchx
