Removing Linux partition and bootloader

Hello everyone. I recently upgraded my system to the point where I had a lot of extra parts laying around, so I put together a second computer. I want to use this older computer for Linux and keep Windows on my faster machine (Mainly for gaming). However, on my main computer, I already have Linux dual booting with Windows.

I have a large windows partition (NTFS) , a linux swap, and a linux partition. What I want to do is remove the linux and swap partitions, and format them to NTFS so I can use them with my Windows partition. I know that I can do this easily from administrative tools within Windows XP, however, I have the problem of the bootloader (I'm quite a newbie, so I dont want to screw anything up). I need to get rid of the bootloader (Currently GRUB), so it will simply automatically boot up windows, just like it would if Id never installed Linux. I have no idea how to do this and I dont want to mess with deleting Linux partitions before I know what needs to be done.

Thanks in advance.

hrm.

well, I'm not sure you can format the linux partitions to NTFS in the administrative tools, but maybe you can. I haven't used windows in quite some time. Anyway, I'd suggest partition magic 8 to do it all. At any rate, once you format the linux to NTFS you can boot with a windows XP CD and go into the recovery console and use the "fixMBR" and (sorry kinda drunk) FixBoot commands.. I'm pretty sure that will take care of it. but I'm drunk

Deleting Linux partition

As U said u will face problems with the boot loader ....Just (after formatting the partition using PM8 or M$ administrative tools reboot the system with 98 boot disk inserted and when command prompt comes just type "fdisk /mbr" This will restore last MBR u used ie of Windows XP......

Also if you dont want to use the crappy old 98 diskette

Get an xp/2k cd (depending on which you're using, assuming your not using 98/me)

and boot from it, get the rescue command mode

(on the first menu i think you hit letter R)

and after entering the admin pass

type: fixmbr
