Question remove tty files from /dev

I have several tty* files in /dev that I want to remove.

Please tell me, what is the syntax for removing these?

Thanks!

Not an answer to your question, but /dev/tty* devices don't take up much space, so if you don't mind me asking, what's the reason for removing them?

/dev/tty*

Just wanting to be tidy. There are a LOT of none-used tty* files in there.

I wouldn't mess with /dev files. If you want to tidy things up there, use the devfs filesystem instead of editing it yourself.

they are ultimately file like any other, rm will remove them (though I second the devfs suggestion)
