Angry remove a lot of files

I need to remove more than 10 000 files, but the report of rm -rf * is:
too many parameters,

when I remove few files (200), there is no problem with removing other 9800 files.

where's the problem? is it hardware problem? (low size of RAM or etc.) or is it linux problem?

it's a linux limit.

You can try using masks, for example:

rm [0-9]*
rm [a-m]*
rm [n-z]*....
