Removable Device Question...

So I was messing around with my Digital Camera, plugged in, trying to configure it when suddently my desktop screws up, my cdrom icon changes place, some sane icon and my digital camera appears. I dont know what I did so can someone help me out?The Removable device Icon dissapeared after I pulled the plug of my cam btw.

And what is the Program to Use Webcams?

I don't yet have a digital camera so I can't help with that.

As for webcam programs, just go to www.freshmeat.net and do a search. There are quite a few programs to choose from.

You didn't do anything. Its an automatic Mandrake thing. My icon disappeared never to return.

Check the /etc/fstab file to be sure the entry for the device. Should be /dev/sda1.

Right click on the desktop and select floppy device. Then select /dev/sda1 and any icon you want. Select Ok. Clicking on the Icon will mount device and open open a file browser. Right click on icon and select umount, be sure to close any app or broswer that is selecting the camera first.
