Remote Terminals

What would I use to connect to a remote terminal... In windows I used putty to connect to a remote FreeBSD CLI interface and I need to do that with my linux box... since I don't really have access to a win box anymore... also. What would I use to connect to a Windows remote desktop Server...???

you might want to try rdesktop from http://sourceforge.net/projects/rdesktop/

works fine for me

How about:

ssh <hostname or ip address>

or

rlogin <hostname or ip address>

You can do it straight from the command if your on a Linux box and if the remote machine has those services enabled. you can also use telnet but its an unsecure method and not recommended to use. You won't need to use rdesktop necessarily if your not needing X on the remote machine.
