Reliable partition resizing utils (that work w/ NTFS)

I am currently considering loading Linux on my Centrino Notebook....(Dell Inspiron 8600)

*I have heard that intel released some linux drivers*

I have the entire 80 GB hd with one NTFS partition, and would like to allocate about 15 GB to Linux.....

I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of something I can safely use to resize my NTFS partition, to give me free space for Linux.....

Thanks

Partition Magic

Probably a lot of people will point to free solutions -- Partition Magic is not free. But my experience with it has been terrific, and it understands [some] Linux filesystems too, so if you ever choose to give some space back to Windows, it can resize your Linux partitions without losing data there too. Pretty neat stuff.

The Suse 9.0 boot CD is what I have used in the past to resize NTFS partitions. Worked for me.

No matter what you do, however, be sure to back up all of your data (and even an image of your hd if you can) before you try to do anything with partitions.
