Question Redhat Linux W/Gnome X System - Doesn't "Save Current Setup"

Whenever I log off, and log back on later, I lose my desktop settings as for as a toolbar I made for the bottom of the screen. Any glitches/fixes I should know about? Or am I doing something wrong?
