Hi Guys!

Installed Redhat 2.1AS , kernel 2.4.9-e.3 version

can someone suggest what is the latest version of the kernel.
i tried to build kernel rpm from the source for kernel 2.4.18-e.31
and it always fails at linux-abi patch.

Am i building the kernel from the rite source (i.e. 2.4.18-e.31)

plus what is the failure with this patch .

As to y i want to upgrade the kernel, stuck with Dell 2350 - lot of issues
with X server.

sick of my screen showing resolution of 640 x 480

My knowledge level - learning with experimentation

What are you using the machine for?

I am using it to install Oracle Applications on it !
It requires Redhat 2.1AS
