RedHat ICON change

Hi , its kind of silly question .. but this thing realy interests me .

I have Red Hat 8.0 , i run KDE 3 with it ..
and i want to change the Hat icon .. on the redhat menu ..

i havent found any way to change this icon to something else .. :study:

thank you very much ..

I suggest you to have a look under /usr/share/piclib or /picmaps or something like that.
There are located the 4x4 8x8 16x16 32x32 versions of the relevant icons

wow , it's a lot to look in ..
there is like 1000 icons there ..

i think that there got to be some easy way of changing this icon .. ?
just like i change an icon to any shortcut ..

thanks

You should identify which one is pointed to display the red hat icon in its different sizes.
Then scrap it and replace it in each instances by an icon of your choice but do not forget to rename the "new one" by the name that concerned the red hat icon, coz the icon location on your screen points to that name.

Yo...

Open up your control center. Go to appearance. Select Icons.
Choose something other than bluecurve.

Connectiva, or KDE default for example.

That will do it. YOu'll have a good old KDE Gear instead of the redhat :)
