Redhat Enterprise Linux WS v5 and Fedora

We are ordering a new Linux box. Most of the current machine runs FC6. The Dell configuration sells Redhat Enterprise Linux WS v5. Will they be compatible?

Thanks!

Most likely yes, main reason RHEL5 was built on the work done for FC6. In fact you will find a number of FC6 rpm packages in the installation.

See for example: http://mirror.chpc.utah.edu/pub/cent...s/i386/CentOS/

FYI: CentOS == RHEL minus the vendor branding and artwork; http://www.centos.org/
